Terms and Conditions – Drop a Plumber

By booking the Drop a Plumber service from Plumbifi, where a qualified plumber is dropped off at your premises in the morning and collected in the afternoon, you agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. Service Description

This service includes the provision of a plumber for a full working day (approximately 07:00 to 17:00). Transport is provided by Plumbifi.
Note: This service excludes any materials, parts, or fittings.


2. Client Responsibilities

By making a booking, you confirm that you will:

  • Supply All Materials: Ensure all necessary plumbing parts, fittings, and tools (if not standard) are available on-site. The plumber will not leave the site to purchase materials.
  • Prepare Adequate Work: Have sufficient tasks ready to occupy the plumber for the full duration. Time lost due to lack of work or materials is non-refundable.
  • Provide a Safe Working Environment: Ensure the site is accessible and safe, with access to relevant work areas, as well as running water and electricity if required.

3. Supervision and Oversight

  • You are expected to periodically check in or supervise the plumber to ensure work is progressing.
  • Any issues related to performance or conduct must be reported to Plumbifi immediately.

4. Timing and Scheduling

  • The plumber will arrive between 07:00 and 08:00, and will be picked up between 16:30 and 17:00.
  • If access to the site is delayed or the work area is unprepared, that time will count toward the booked service time.

5. Scope of Work

  • The plumber will carry out tasks as instructed by you.
  • Completion of all tasks is not guaranteed and depends on time, complexity, and preparedness.
  • If additional work is required, a separate booking must be arranged.

6. Liability and Insurance

  • Plumbifi plumbers are covered by our company insurance while on-site.
  • Plumbifi is not responsible for:
    • Damage resulting from incorrect client instructions, unsafe site conditions, or incompatible materials.
    • Faults arising from poor-quality or unsuitable fittings provided by the client.

7. Payments and Cancellations

  • Full payment is required before the scheduled date.
  • Rescheduling is allowed if at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
  • No refunds will be issued for:
    • Unused time due to poor preparation or lack of materials.
    • Incomplete work caused by time or scope limitations.
    • Same-day cancellations or no-shows.

8. Conduct and Safety

  • Our plumbers must be treated respectfully and provided with a safe, non-hostile working environment.
  • Plumbifi reserves the right to terminate the service immediately if the plumber faces unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate conditions.

9. Legal Framework

These Terms are governed by South African law. Any legal disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the relevant South African courts.
